Dunedin property market update: June 2017

What’s happening in the Dunedin property market right now? Harcourts Manager Richard Stringer gives his take in our latest video.

With talk of the market slowing in Auckland and other main centres, many might assume that the same thing’s happening all over New Zealand. But that’s not the case, as Richard explains — in actual fact, Dunedin has experienced some of the strongest growth in the country over the last year. High buyer demand is generating a large number of sales per month and property is moving quickly off the shelves.

Key points in June 2017:

  • 200 sales in the month of May, up from 181 in April but down from 259 in May 2016.
  • Rise in median sale price to $355,000.
  • 22 median days on the market.
